Charity
Work - helping to put smiles on faces, around the
world
At
AdEPT Telecom both the company and the staff are keen to help those
less fortunate than ourselves whenever we can. If we can put a
smile on a face for a day then that's all the thanks we
want.
On
behalf of Lifetime I would like to thank you and all at AdEPT
Telecom for supporting our first football tournament “Goals against
Leukaemia”.
We were
delighted with the results, and the Anthony Nolan Trust has
confirmed that £10K was raised on the day.

Through
a single golf day and auction, The London Golf Club has raised a
massive £35,000 for Kent
charity, Demelza House.
The
fundraiser was the brainchild of two London Golf Club Members,
Graham Rowsewell and Chris Fishwick of AdEPT Telecom who
wanted to give something back to the local community and felt
Demelza was the perfect organisation to help. Chris Fishwick
said: “The standard of golf and venue was first class.
It was great to see so many members chipping in for such a worthy
cause.”

THE BORNEO CHALLENGE
Based
in Chester, Children Today is a charity which operates nationally
to help children and young people in desperate need of support by
providing funding for specially designed equipment that brings
greater quality of life and independence to children with
disabilities in the UK. It is the only charity in the UK that
does so regardless of the child’s condition and it is its policy to
help children and young people up to the age of twenty five
years. In addition to this, Children Today also works
to raise awareness of issues surrounding the accessibility of
equipment for disabled children and young people.

We were

at Upton Park, the home of West Ham.

AdEPT
sponsored a trek across the Himalayas.
Highlights were meeting the Dalai Lama and
visiting the ActionAid project for street children in Delhi. The
children have very little and they have had very traumatic times in
their short lives but they now have hope. Thanks to the ActionAid
India project they have a safe place to sleep (wooden huts with
mattresses on the floor!), an identity and access to education.
Previously they were living on the streets exposed to all types of
danger, they were alone, vulnerable and without any hope for the
future. The money provided by ActionAid has changed their lives
completely but there are many more who still need help and the
money we raised is vitally important to ensure continuing progress
and support. Some of these children were only toddlers and they
were found completely alone on the streets of a very harsh
city.
